Convicted Child Abuser Accused Of Punching Son In Face

TAMPA - A man convicted last month of felony child abuse has been arrested again after police said he punched his 14-year-old son and possibly broke the boy's nose.

Charles M. Hugee, 46, of 9409 N. Mulberry St., was held without bail today at Orient Road Jail. Police charged him Sunday evening with felony aggravated child abuse.

According to a criminal report affidavit, Tampa police responded to Hugee's address about 9:30 p.m. Sunday because of a family disturbance.

Officers learned that Hugee had come home intoxicated and been verbally abusive toward the mother of his five children, the affidavit states. When he tried to push her into a room, his 14-year-old son intervened, and Hugee punched the boy in the face, the affidavit states.

Officers noted the boy's nose and lip were bloody and his nose was possibly broken, the affidavit states.

The arrest violates Hugee's felony probation on a previous child-abuse charge, records show.

Florida Department of Corrections records state that Hugee is under community supervision until July 2010 after he pleaded guilty last month to felony child abuse. That case involved Hugee striking three of his children in the upper body and head with a belt in April, a police report states.

Negro teaches her offspring how to steal White women’s purses

Fort Smith police arrested 25-year-old Bridget Kursh. They believe she stole nine purses in one weekend. Erica Neuroth says her baby was in a cart at Wal-Mart when Kursh snatched her wallet out of her purse.

Neuroth says, "I just can’t believe that someone would go that low to steal someone’s purse with a child in the cart and me standing right there. I just can’t believe there’s people like that."

Neuroth isn’t the only one. All nine victims say they were distracted while shopping and when they turned around, their purses were gone. Police say Kursh actually worked with two young children. Kursh distracted the victims while a 10-year-old boy grabbed the purses and ran off. Police arrested the boy as well.

Neuroth explains, "There are no words for someone who could do that, especially with a child. I couldn’t imagine ever using my son like that."

Surveilance video caught the purse snatchers on camera in the store and out in the parking lot getting into a maroon Mercury Sable. Victims say, they’re happy to hear Kursh is behind bars.

Neuroth says, “I'm glad she got caught, she deserves it."

Kursh has been booked in the Sebastian County Jail. As for the little boy. Police booked him into the Juvenile Detention Center. He’s also charged with nine counts of property theft.

Update

The family jus mades ah mistake -- >

A birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese did not end happily for Taizhae Carroll. She was left behind at the restaurant in Woodbridge and the look on her face in photos says it all.

Prince William County Police released photographs of the little girl in an effort to find her family. Officer Erika Hernandez says authorities got a call from the restaurant's staff around 8:40 Sunday night. The child was in the Chuck E. Cheese alone and she could only tell them her name is Taizhae.

"Everybody wants her back. Everybody called me crying, everybody," said the child's aunt, Ieesha Carroll. "It was just a big mistake."

Carroll says she found out Taizhae was not with relatives when her cousin called around 7 Monday morning. She told Carroll about news reports on a child abandoned at Chuck E. Cheese that sounded like Taizhae.

"I called my father and asked where is Taizhae 'cause she stays at my parent's house," said Carroll. "And then he said we thought she went with another member of our family. We have a big family, and there was a party and there was a lot of kids there."

Affirmative Action Teacher In Jail, Charged With Sex Crimes

Melvin Fair, 55, is charged with four counts of indecent liberties.

Fair is a teacher at Southeast Middle School in Kernersville. He has been charged in two different cases involving two different girls.

One allegation stems from an incident that happened between December 2006 and June 2007. The other goes back to 1999.

According to arrest warrants filed in Forsyth County District Court, both cases involve students at Southeast Middle School.

Fair has been teaching at the school since 1998. He has been employed by the school system since 1995, after leaving Guilford County Schools as a high school athletic director.

School leaders say they contacted the Kernersville Police Department after receiving questionable information about Fair.

Authorities charged Fair on Thursday, following a two-month investigation into the most recent allegation, involving a 14-year-old girl.

During that investigation, police uncovered information leading them to charge Fair in another case.

Those allegations stem from an incident that happened between September of 1999 and June of 2000, involving a 12-year-old girl.

School officials hope this case will prevent others from happening.

"We have 4,000 teachers and sometimes in the population of 4,000, there's going to be aberrant behavior. And that aberrant behavior gets a lot of attention, as it should. I think that attention helps as a deterrent and I actually think it helps other kids come forward," said Don Martin, superintendent of Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools.
